سماجی کارکن میدھا پاٹکر کو پیر کو دہلی کی ایک مقامی عدالت نے سزا سنائی ہے ۔ عدالت نے انہیں پانچ ماہ قید کی سزا سنائی ہے۔ عدالت نے میدھا پاٹکر پر 10 لاکھ روپے کا جرمانہ بھی عائد کیا، جو انہیں وی کے سکسینہ کو ادا کرنا ہوگا

نئی دہلی: سماجی کارکن میدھا پاٹکر کو پیر کو دہلی کی ایک مقامی عدالت نے سزا سنائی ہے ۔ عدالت نے انہیں پانچ ماہ قید کی سزا سنائی ہے۔ عدالت نے میدھا پاٹکر پر 10 لاکھ روپے کا جرمانہ بھی عائد کیا، جو انہیں وی کے سکسینہ کو ادا کرنا ہوگا۔ اس دوران عدالت نے تبصرہ کیا کہ ان کی عمر کو دیکھتے ہوئے وہ انہیں ایک سے دو سال کی سزا نہیں دے رہے ہیں۔ دراصل دہلی کے موجودہ لیفٹیننٹ گورنر وی کے سکسینہ نے 2001 میں ان کے خلاف ہتک عزت کا مقدمہ دائر کیا تھا۔

دہلی ایل جی کی جانب سے دائر کیس کی سماعت ساکیت کورٹ میں چل رہی تھی۔ سماعت سے پہلے پاٹکر کے وکیل نے عدالت میں عمر کا حوالہ دینے والی درخواست دائر کی تھی، تاہم عدالت نے ان کی دلیل کو مسترد کر دیا۔ ساکیت عدالت نے کہا کہ میدھا پاٹکر کی عمر کو دیکھتے ہوئے وہ ایک سے دو سال کی زیادہ سزا نہیں دے رہی ہے۔

میدھا پاٹکر کی سزا سنانے کے بعد عدالت نے تبصرہ کیا کہ سی آر پی سی کی دفعہ 389(3) کے تحت سزا کو ایک ماہ کے لیے معطل کیا جاتا ہے۔ اب میدھا پاٹکر کو ایک ماہ تک سزا نہیں ہوگی اور نہ ہی اس پر کوئی کیس ہوگا۔ وقت پورا ہونے کے بعد اس پر مزید کارروائی کی جا سکتی ہے۔

وہیں ایل جی کے وکیل نے معاوضے کی رقم پر اعتراض ظاہر کیا۔ انہوں نے جج سے کہا کہ ہمیں معاوضے کی رقم نہیں چاہئے، براہ کرم اسے دہلی اسٹیٹ لیگل سروسز اتھارٹی کو دینے کی ہدایت دیدیں۔ عدالت نے کہا کہ ایک بار آپ کو معاوضے کی رقم مل جائے تو اس رقم سے جو کرنا ہے، کیجئے
