اٹاوہ کے ایس ایس پی سنجے کمار ورما نے بتایا کہ حادثہ اس وقت پیش آیا جب رائے بریلی سے دہلی جا رہی ایک ڈبل ڈیکر بس رات تقریباً ساڑھے بارہ بجے ایک کار سے ٹکرا گئی۔ بس میں 60 افراد سوار تھے۔ ان میں سے 4 لوگوں کی موت ہو گئی اور تقریباً 20-25 لوگ زخمی ہوئے۔ انہیں اسپتال میں داخل کرایا گیا ہے۔ کار میں سوار تین افراد کی بھی موت ہوگئی ۔ مجموعی طور پر 7 افراد کی موت ہوئی ہے۔ پولیس نے مرنے والوں اور زخمیوں کے اہل خانہ کو اطلاع دیدی ہے

ایس ایس پی ورما نے بتایا کہ بس ناگالینڈ نمبر کی ہے۔ کار آگرہ سے لکھنؤ کی طرف جا رہی تھی۔ حادثے کے بعد بس بے قابو ہو کر ایکسپریس وے سے نیچے جاگری۔ زخمیوں میں سے ایک کی حالت تشویشناک ہے۔ مرنے والوں میں ایک خاتون بھی شامل ہے۔ حادثے کے بعد علاقے سبھی پولیس اور انتظامی اہلکار موقع پر پہنچ گئے۔ پولیس اور انتظامیہ زخمیوں کو مناسب علاج فراہم کروا رہی ہے۔ بس میں سفر کرنے والے افراد کو دوسری گاڑیوں میں ان کی منزل کی طرف روانہ کر دیا گیا ہے۔
ورما نے کہا کہ جائے وقوعہ کے حالات کو دیکھ کر ابتدائی طور پر ایسا لگتا ہے کہ کار ڈرائیور کو نیند کی جھپکی آگئی تھی، جس کی وجہ سے وہ اپنی لین پار کر کے بس سے ٹکرا گئی ، جس کی وجہ سے بس بھی بے قابو ہوکر ہائی وے سے نیچے اتر کر حادثہ کا شکار ہوگئی ۔ بہرحال پولیس پورے معاملے کی جانچ میں مصروف ہے۔
